Kelcoat

We coat in NYLON, POLYTHENE, PPA and POLYESTER.

Offering Black and White in all, plus Red, Blue, Green, Almond, Yellow and Grey in some of the materials.

Our industrial fluidising tanks are 6ft by 3ft by 2ft6in. While for larger work, such as guards, posts, mixers, mesh panels, etc. we have a 12ft by 6ft by 18in. tank for Black POLYTHENE and a slightly smaller one for White.

For more complex work, we have three electrostatic powder guns for spraying work in NYLON or PPA, for such applications as Mixer Blades, Hopper Trucks and Tank Internals.

We have a state-of-the-art electrostatic spray gun and a 'batch' type plant which can coat in ES Nylon or Polyester. This plant is designed for large items or short-run operations with the ability to change colour rapidly and cheaply.

Pre-treatment is achieved through our large degreasing tank and our shot-blasting room. Primers are than applied as necessary.

POLYTHENE
The least expensive, relatively soft with a glove coat adhesion. The material we use is manufactured to our own specification, which gives superior adhesion and weathering qualities. Finished thickness is 25/30 thousandths of an inch (0.75 microns).

NYLON
A much harder material with good adhesion to the substrate. A superb finish about 12 thousandths of an inch (0.3 microns) thick if dipped or 8/10 thousandths of an inch (0.22 microns) if electrostatically sprayed. This is a well proven attractive finish with excellent weathering properties. OK for sterilising. Very popular for water industry use.

PPA
A tough material with excellent weathering properties and good all-round chemical resistance.

POLYESTER
A high gloss finish, excellent for architectural ironwork. We are one of the few coaters in the country who are able to handle individual large items in this material. Excellent outdoor performer.
